Nature Encounters Tours & Travel Ltd., began with the love of Nature, Culture and Travel

How lucky we are to have combined all three and can offer it to our guests as well.   We have spent 30+ years traveling to Africa, India and South America. We know what the roads are like to the Maasai Mara… we know how long your flight from Maun to the Okavango Delta is….we know how good the freshly baked bread on the Zambezi is!    We specialize on nature trips to Africa… India… Galapagos & Ecuador/South America and we do it very well.

We want you to experience the untamed wilderness where you can make a difference as well as enjoy your vacation.

Ecotourism is an important part of the travel experience. We include a donation in all itineraries and our guests are happy to be contributing to a sustainable industry where the local people, as well as the wildlife, benefit from visitors. Be it lodges that employee local villagers or Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya who hand-raise, then release baby elephants back into the wild, our financial assistance helps provide a true eco-friendly atmosphere for everyone.

Education is important and can sometimes be a challenge for families. We take pride in sponsoring various schools and orphanages including the A.I.C. Girls School in Kajiado, Kenya and many others in Rwanda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, India – wherever we travel to.

There are many conservation groups that are near and dear to us: The Victoria Falls Anti Poaching Unit, Painted Dog Conservation, the Mara Meru Cheetah Project, Kenya, Jane Goodall’s Chimpanzee Research in Gombe Stream Tanzania,  to name a few.   One special project has been to provide rubber boots for the trackers that take us up the mountains to see gorillas – simple yet so important.

We do indeed walk the talk.

Special Thanks!

To our guests that brought clothing, blankets, backpacks and school supplies to Ecuador, Galapagos, India, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, Rwanda, South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.  Oh and those knitters!  Fabulous!

To the team of people working to make the Kajiado Girls School a better place for these lovely girls… ASANTE SANA but that just doesn’t seem enough…

ALWAYS to our dear friends – ground operators & guides – THANK YOU for your special hospitality and care!

How lucky we are to know you . . .
